The End of a Record Blog Week

Well, it was pleasant last week to log 1400+ page hits on my teeny little blog. Now, as I subside back to my normal levels of ~ 40 – 60 hits per day, thanks to those who came by. I guess I should send a thank-you note to TEC’s new Presiding Heresiarch for her help in getting my blogstats up.

News from the “things could be a lot worse” front:

• The pope has called for renewal in Catholic church music, including Gregorian chant and polyphony.


• Latvia has defied the EU and refused to provide special legal protections to homosexuals.


• The Traditional Anglican Communion will be holding a special Requiem Mass for the late Episcopal Church next Wednesday in Portland, Maine.


• In a bid to make Anglicans look orthodox, the Unitarian Universalists held their General Assembly in St. Louis last week. Rumor has it that they passed the following binding resolution:



“Be it resolved: Whatever…”



• In another bid to make Anglicans look normal, the Presbyterian Church (USA) Wednesday called for the legalization of medical marijuana – whoops, too late. The Episcopal Church already did that.


• I got to go to a thoroughly orthodox church on Sunday and hear a thoroughly orthodox homily; barring emergencies, I will get to go to another on Wednesday.

So I guess I will get to work and contentedly fall back into internet obscurity.
