Shark followed on 12,000-mile trip

Great white swims from Africa to Australia and back

According to the report, there appears to be genetic exchange between the South African and Australian populations of great whites, who swim across 6,000 miles of ocean to find mates.

When I was a teenager, there were a number of times I drove clear across Houston to pick up my then-girl-friend for a movie or a dinner date. For anyone that’s never done that, it is probably the human equivalent to the shark story.
